Joining Metro Gold Schools is a simple and well-guided process. We welcome learners from all backgrounds who are eager to grow, explore, and excel.

Below, we’ve laid out all of the questions on the application so that you know what to expect when you go to fill it out online. Items with an asterisk are required. The application form saves your progress, so don’t worry about completing it in one sitting!

Confirmation of Application

Once you have submitted your application, Our admissions team will acknowledge receipt of your application by phone or email within two working days.

Application Review

Our admissions team will review your application to confirm you meet our requirements. If so, you will then be asked to complete an interview as part of the review process.

Payment of Fees

Pay the non-refundable application fee of $290, which can be done in Cash or via Bank Transfers or Mobile money number 0538819850.

Process

Step 1

Academic Evaluation

All applicants undergo a thorough academic evaluation. This includes standardized assessments to know if they are a good fit to the class they are enrolling for.

Step 2

Standardized Testing

Applicants are required to take a standardized test, which may include assessments in Mathematics, English & Science. Test scores are used to assess academic readiness.

Step 3

Interview

Shortlisted candidates will enjoy a one-on-one chat with a faculty member or admissions counselor. This friendly meeting helps us learn about the child’s interests and how they fit into our school community.

Step 4

Essay or Personal Statement

Applicants are asked to submit a personal essay on a given topic. This essay provides insight into the applicant’s writing skills and their ability to express their thoughts coherently.

Step 5

Final Review and Selection

The admissions committee conducts a final review of all application materials, considering academic performance, test scores, interview results, and the essay. Admissions decisions are made based on this holistic evaluation.

Requirements

Primary School Requirements:

To apply for admission into our Pre-School (Crèche, Nursery & Reception), please ensure the following requirements are met:

✅ Age Requirement
Applicants must meet the age requirement for their intended level as per the academic calendar:

  • Crèche: 1–2 years

  • Nursery: 3–4 years

  • Reception: 4–5 years

✅ Developmental Readiness
Children entering Nursery and Reception should be toilet trained or in the process of being trained.

✅ Completed Application Form
Fill out the Metro Gold Schools Application Form completely and accurately (online or paper copy).

✅ Required Documents
Submit the following:

  • Birth certificate or valid proof of age

  • Health and immunization records

  • Two passport-sized photos

  • Parent/guardian ID (copy of national ID or passport)

✅ Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee of $290 via mobile money or bank transfer.

✅ Child Observation Session
Applicants will take part in a brief, informal observation session with our Early Years educators to assess basic developmental readiness.

Primary School Requirements:

To apply for admission into our Primary School (Grades 1–6), please ensure the following requirements are met:

✅ Age Requirement

  • Applicants must meet the minimum age requirement for their intended grade level as per the academic calendar.

✅ Academic Records

  • Submit report cards or progress reports from the most recent school attended.

  • Any standardized test scores (if applicable) are also welcome.

✅ Completed Application Form

  • Fill out the Metro Gold Schools Application Form completely and accurately (online or physical copy).

✅ Application Fee

  • Pay the non-refundable application fee of $290 via mobile money or bank transfer.

✅ Entrance Assessment

  • Applicants will take a standardized test in English, Mathematics, and Science to assess readiness.

✅ Personal Interview

  • A friendly interview will be conducted with the student and/or parent to understand the child’s interests and learning style.

✅ Health Information

  • Submit any relevant medical records or health information to help us provide the best care for your child.

Secondary School Requirements:

Admission into our Secondary School (Grades 7–9) is designed to welcome students ready for academic growth, global learning, and personal development through the Cambridge International Curriculum.

✅ Age & Grade Eligibility

  • Applicants must be within the appropriate age range for their intended grade level.

✅ Academic Records

  • Submit recent school reports, transcripts, and standardized test results from the current or previous academic year.

✅ Completed Application Form

  • Fill out the Metro Gold Schools application form accurately (online or paper form).

✅ Application Fee

  • Pay the non-refundable application fee of $290 via Mobile Money or bank transfer.

✅ Standardized Entrance Assessment

  • Applicants will write a standardized test covering:

    • English Language

    • Mathematics

    • Science

✅ Personal Interview

  • Shortlisted applicants will attend a one-on-one interview with a faculty member or admissions counselor to assess fit and readiness.

✅ Essay or Personal Statement

  • Applicants will submit a brief essay or personal statement on a given topic to demonstrate writing ability and personal insights.

✅ Health Records
